Equipment Needed:
Food processor
Rolling pin (or something similar)
Ingredients:
300g firm tofu
5 tbsp nutritional yeast
3 tsp onion powder
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius/300 degrees Fahrenheit.
Press the tofu for 40 minutes, expelling the most moisture.
Add it to a food processor along with the nutritional yeast, onion powder and salt. Blend into a smooth paste.
Add it onto a sheet of parchment paper and add another sheet on top. Use a rolling pin to roll out thinly and evenly.
Peel back (don’t just lift, or it may stick) the top sheet.
Use a sharp knife to score the mixture into triangle shapes. Be careful not to drag the mixture or it may cling to the blade.
Place it on a baking tray and place it in the oven for 30 minutes, and then flip. Return to the oven for 20 more minutes.
Remove and break off any edge pieces that are cooked, separate the rest and return to the oven for a final 10 minutes (or until cooked)
Allow to rest for 10 minutes and enjoy!
